Fred Clutchey

In 1910, Fred Clutchey moved to Mazenod Sask. This family comprised of Joseph, Leo, Mary, Farquhar, John, Donalda, Katherine and Ambrose all grew up in the West, many of them to marry and begin their own families,

Joseph Clutchey (Cloutier)

Joseph II was the eldest child of Joseph Cloutier I and Mary Jane Gerow (sic Geroux). He married Mary Koster and they and their five children were the last of the Cloutier-Clutchey family to head West. the year was 1912. This was the only family to change its name formally back to the original spelling 'Cloutier'

Jim Clutchey

Jim Clutchey homesteaded for a while in Mazenod, then went to Rouleau Saskatchewan until 1943. He later took his family of wife Susan and three sons, Thomas, Edward and Jim Jr. to Vancouver.

Lou Clutchey

Lou Clutchey initially went West in 1912, but returned to the East until 1916, when he finally went back West to homestead. After several moves he ended up in Vancouver where he worked in a sawmilll.

Thus two main branches of the descendants of Jean Francois Cloutier developed, one in Eastern Canada, and one in Western Canada. Of these families there are over two thousand descendants.
