I travel from the Gulf Coast waters in Florida to the mountains in Colorado during the summertime, so some know me as a NAT, a Mad Dog, or a triathlete from Carbondale, Colorado--and through email as a TRI-DRS list member. It's a special privilege to also be known as a member of the USA World Long Course Triathlon team. I've put up this webpage to share my experiences in competing at the World Long Course Triathlon Championship in Sater, Sweden on July 10, 1999, with the hopes that other triathletes may become interested in qualifying to be on the USA Triathlon team for World competition. Please follow the links to my race report which discusses what it's like to compete overseas and be a member of a team, then to my travel diary that tells you anything and everything I got myself into, photos of the USAT team members, and links to official results, the Pro race report, and information on visiting Stockholm. Mark your calendar for the upcoming World Long Course Triathlon Championships and contact USAT for information on qualifying.
