JAMES AND JANE PERMAN SCHOLARSHIPS
Once again
Temple Shalom has heard and will heed the call of Hineini.
During the past two years we have mounted a very successful
campaign to raise money to send two young people from the
Former Soviet Union to the Leadership Institute at Camp Kutz
in Warwick New York. This has been a grass roots campaign
that epitomizes what "tikkun olam" is all about. We have
made a difference in the world and we will continue to do
so. We will be asking for a donation of $18.00 or more, if
you so choose, with the money to be used to train the future
leaders in places like Odessa and Kiev. Knowing the
generosity of this congregation I am comfortable that this
year's campaign will continue the work started two years ago
and we will be able to send two new kids who will become
"Perman Scholars."
