Adult Education is
an important part of our Temple Life. In addition to many smaller
opportunities to enrich our adult education we have five principal
programs:

Rabbi Brad Bloom continues his series entitled “The Future of Reform Judaism: A perspective about Tradition, Ritual and Community” with Music for Reform Judaism: Camp vs. Concert Hall and Mishkan Tefilah: The New Reform Prayerbook.

8:00 – 9:00 pm Rabbi Brad Bloom -“Talmud: So You Want to be a Scholar?” Read stories and study some of the legal discussions that have made the Talmud the central body of Jewish teaching.
8:00 – 9:00 pm Rabbi Baht Weiss -“Introduction to Judaism” This is the continuation of the 12-week course, which began with Session One.
“Rosh Chodesh:
A Woman’s Gathering”
Two-hour, Monthly Sessions
Rabbi Baht Weiss leads these sessions addressing a wide range of women’s issues and offering an opportunity for women to learn about each other, and to re-discover some of the unique women in our tradition. Upcoming sessions: February 20, at 5:00 pm; March 22, at 5:00 pm: April 17, 5:00,pm; May 15, at 12:00 pm.
Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of these exciting opportunities to participate and learn.
TEMPLE SHALOM SECOND ANNUAL FILM SERIES
The Temple Shalom Learning Resource Center is pleased to announce
the second annual Temple Shalom Film Series:
“THE GARDEN OF THE FINZI-CONTINIS,” Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007 at 7 pm
“THE RASHEVSKI’S TANGO,” Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 7 pm
“KADOSH,” Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 7 pm
The films will be shown on a large screen in the sanctuary,
followed by a discussion session and refreshments in the Social Hall.
These programs are free of charge, open to all and require no advanced reservations.
